     These links are to instructional websites that offer streaming video for the classroom.  Often, standards based lesson plans, teaching materials, instructional games, and research information are offered as well.  The links are loosely organized by content areas.

InfOhio Digital Video Collection  Ohio's Digital Video Collection (DVC) is available to all Ohio K-12 schools at no cost to districts, educators or students.  This collection was made possible, in part, through a Library Services and Technology grant awardeby the State Library of Ohio. PBS Learning Media  WVIZ/PBS Ideastream provides high-quality educational multimedia correlated with Ohio and national curriculum standards for your classroom. You will find on-line activities, lesson plans, downloadable video, and DVDs for your curricular needs.  
 
Stossel In The Classroom  John Stossel's website offers video streaming clips from his investigative reporting style television program.  Click the "Streaming Video" button at the top of the website.  Next, click on the "Subject Menu" found on the right side of the website.
 
Business/Finance
Your Life, Your Money  With compelling real-life stories of young people finding their way through economic challenges, this program delivers basic personal financial instruction to high school students.  Includes videos, glossaries, games, and lesson plans.
Careers
My Cool Job  Gives students a taste of pluses and minuses of real jobs in the real world.  The video interviews and accompanying web materials focus on careers in engineering, information technology, arts and communication, and health sciences.
 
English
Change My Mind  This multimedia project was created to teach the persuasive writing process.  It is geared to grades 8-10 language arts standards.
 
Math
Ohio Resource Center: Tutorials For High School Mathematics Provides video tutorials, handouts, self-checks, and links to additional math related resources.
 
Science
Spaced Out:  A Cosmic Scene is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) project funded by eTech Ohio and produced by the WOUB Center for Public Media at Ohio University, Athens.  This website consists of eight science and mathematics student video-on-demand modules for at-risk students in grades 8-10, and includes eight teacher self-study video support modules with assessment strategies.  All content is aligned with the Ohio Academic Content Standards.
 
Social Studies
World War II: Exploring Your Local History  The purpose of this website is to help high school students learn about the impact of learning about WWII in local history and world events.  Includes veteran interviews, Power Points, primary sources and more.  Lessons and resources are aligned to the Ohio Academic Content Standards.
