Early Entrance Test for Kindergarten Announced

A mandatory meeting for parents interested in having their child(ren) tested for early entrance to kindergarten will take place on August 5, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Strongsville Early Learning Preschool, 19543 Lunn Road, Strongsville, OH  44149.  The meeting is designed for the parents of children who turn 5 years of age after September 30, 2007 but on or before December 31, 2007.  Children born between these two dates cannot be admitted to kindergarten this fall unless they participate in and meet the requirements of the early entrance assessment.  Participants must pre-register for the meeting by calling Sharie Kassay at 440-572-7046.  At the meeting, parents will learn about how kindergarten readiness is determined and how the screening process works.  A question and answer session will follow.  After this meeting, parents who wish to continue the early entrance screening process can sign up their child(ren) for testing the next day, August 6, 2008.
