Kindergarten Registration Process
Student Eligibility
Kindergarten is mandatory in Ohio. According to State Law and District policy, any child who becomes five years old on or before September 30, 2008 is eligible for admission into the Strongsville School District’s Kindergarten program this August.
Beginning in January, registration forms can be picked up at the elementary building closest to your home. This enrollment package contains the required enrollment forms (see below for details), information about Safety Town, school transportation and helpful hints you can use to prepare your child for Kindergarten.
Registration Dates and Times
Parents and guardians are asked to register their child in the Community Room of St. John Neumann at 16271 Pearl Road using the following schedule:

Please bring your child to the registration for vision screening.
Required Documentation
During the April enrollment process, parents must bring these completed forms - Student Information Form (Registration Form), Kindergarten Questionnaire, Home Language Survey and the Kindergarten Health Form - along with the following documents:
· Student’s Birth Certificate
· Student’s Social Security Number
· Student’s Immunization Records
· Proof of Residency – One of the following: tax bill, mortgage coupon, telephone, gas, electric or sewer/water bill, insurance policy on dwelling, or a signed rental or purchase agreement
· Proof of Custody (only if child is not living with both his/her natural parents): Certified Copy of Court Order or Court Appointed Guardianship
All of the appropriate items listed above must be provided in order to enroll your child.
