Basic Bicycle Maintenance

   This one-day class will provide you with some basic skills to help keep you rolling smoothly and safely and give you some tips to help you enjoy cycling more.  Safety inspection and everyday maintenance are covered, plus emergency repairs including hands-on tire changing, lubrication, and getting the most comfort and fun from your bike with appropriate position, technique and accessories.  Bring your bicycle questions.

Golf for Beginners and Intermediates

   Whether you wish to attempt golf for the first time, or just want to review the basics, this is the class for you.  The five lessons cover the grip, address full swing with irons and woods, uneven lies and the short game (chipping, pitching and putting).  Bring $7 per week for range balls.  This class will meet even in inclement weather. Buying and Selling on E-Bay!

   E-bay is more than just an online garage sale; it’s a marketplace where millions of people around the world meet to do business.  You can buy anything from used baby clothes to a timeshare in Colorado.  In this 4-hour class we’ll take you through the process of registering for a free account and show you how to browse and search through the millions of items available for sale.  Learn to bid and buy with confidence and use the E-Bay feed back system to your advantage.  In the second session we’ll list an item for sale and discuss the options available to E-bay sellers.  Gain valuable tips and tricks for effective buying and selling and learn to spot suspect sellers and fraudulent actions.  Class geared for the beginner E-Bay user-basic computer skills and mouse ability required.

Tracing Your Family History

Students will learn family research techniques, where and how to locate information, use of censuses, vital records, internet searching, libraries and historical societies.  Come and learn how to locate fascinating and sometimes surprising information about your family.  Students will not need computer experience.  Instructor is a life member of the Ohio Genealogical Society.
