Music 101
How does music work?
By Bud Preston
If you have ever asked that question, been mystified by the art of music, felt that a conversation about music theory was about as appetizing as a tall glass of saw dust on a hot summer day; then this class if for you!
In Music 101, we will focus on the art of putting notes together to actually make music. We’ll discover how songs are constructed and how to make a song, happy, sad or rocking. This class is for musicians and non musicians. You can gain a better understanding of your favorite composer techniques or use this new found knowledge to help influence your own song writing skills. A word of caution: face may hurt from sustained smiles.

Guitar II
By Bud Preston
So you know how to play the seven major cords and possible variations of each, but your growth is horizontal, playing all your songs with the same cord voicings. Break out of your rut!
This visual and lively class will focus on applying music theory to the neck of the guitar opening up the possibilities of the fret board, and guitaristics, those little things we can do to assist the guitar in giving us all the sound it has bottled up inside. For the student (14+) who has experience or prior instruction in basic guitar.
