Students must be members of an Advisor: Mrs. Rudolph You don't need to already know how to knit or crochet to be in this club because this is a place where you can learn! This group works together to create items such as blanket, scarves and hats that are donated to charitable organizations. Meetings will be held every Tuesday after school in Room 113. This club works to create an informative and lively way to start the school day, featuring video announcements, with students acting as on-air personalities, cameramen and crew. Tryouts are held in early September. Advisors: Mr. Port and Mrs. Langlais
This group is a creative writing team that both 7th and 8th grade students may tryout and participate in. Tryouts are held early in the year. Meetings are held after school once a week, where students write, discuss, and brainstorm ideas for good writing. Teams participate in a local competition, and individuals may qualify to go on to the regional and state levels. Showchoir is a fun choral group that gives students in music the opportunity to perform! Members will learn exciting showchoir pieces and basic shoreography skills as well as the opportunity to perform anywhere from the IX Center to Advisor: Mr. Muth
Ski Club is open to all 7th and 8th graders and is a learn-to-ski / snowboard program from beginner to highly skilled bump or racing ability. We ski on 5 consecutive Tuesdays at Advisors: Ms. M. McNamara and Mrs. Holland
Student Council is an elected student government service organization. Elections take place during the first week of November. Meetings are held during Outreach. Sub-committee meetings are also held before and after school. The entire Student Council meets before school each Thursday morning to prepare for the next week´s activities/projects in Room 214. TTT-C is a popular group that endorses a positive life-style, choices, rejecting drug/alcohol use, has fun, provides opportunities for increased self-esteem, and encourages the power of positive peer pressure. An outing is held every month, which includes such things as tobogganing, a hayride, CAVS/Barons game, a Lock-In, Swings-N-Things, and an Indians game. In addition, TTT-C supports service projects such as Red Ribbon Week, canned food drives for the needs, elderly partnerships, walk-a-thons and holiday gift giving.
